the siphons really work and are much cheaper and smaller than the sodastream machine. if you're only going to make seltzer it's probably the better way.

    How's that club soda?

I think I'm in love with every Umbra product.

I'm in love with that trash can and that strainer.

just don't use that trash can for the kitchen. we had one similar to that and had to get rid of it after a few months and get step trash can instead because the lid on the first one would always be dirty. if you wanted to scrape food from a plate into the trash it can be hard to hold the plate, the lid and scrape the food into the bin and as a result shit would get all over the lid and you had to be constantly wiping it whereas with a step one the lid is completely out of the way and you have both hands free.

It's not a gadget as more a piece of metal/wood with a hole in it, but I really want a spaghetti measurer as my eyes are a thousand times bigger than my belly and I waste so much pasta.

    Immersion blender. Love it.

Editing to add - Just read FGG's post above about the immersion blender and mashed cauliflower -that is exactly what I most recently used it for.

Even better - I cooked and mashed celery root and mixed the two together. Froze in small batches so I can us as needed.

I have a Brabrantia step can and the spring hinge broke so I have to prop up the lid with a wooden spoon or my own fave invention - a paper towel cardboard insert. I hate it because I hate the trash bag when it shows.

***Public Service Announcement*** - buy whatever you can at Bed Bath and Beyond with a coupon. You can return anything at anytime with your receipt - you do not need the box or packaging. If you don't have the receipt or the packaging you can get a store credit. No questions asked ever. Buy your drugstore makeup there if they have a Harmon Drug and you can return it if you don't like it. I wish I had bought that trash can there, they'd swap it right out.

I think I need this like yesterday. It looks like it really works. I eat fresh pineapple all the time of day. if you want work in the kitchen. If you think the modern kitchen has everything you could ever need stylish dishes. I like do work in the work.

    ^^^^
no kids here but had brunch with my roommate's best friend last weekend, and she was telling us about this and some other gadgets she bought and that people gave her, thinking she'd use them. she just sold them all on ebay because she realised they were useless. the first one to go was the wet wipe warmer (seriously, that shit exists) and then the overpriced french béaba baby food maker was next. she said it only took up space in the kitchen and that she was better off with just a veggie steamer that you put in a saucepan and a handheld blender anyway, less fuss and less clean-up. plus, they already have a food processor and a blender so this was just another useless gadget.
