you can get fried oysters pretty much at any seafood restaurant that has other fried items like shrimp, clams, fish, etc.

I don't like fried oysters, but give me a basket of fried clams any day! We used to call fried clams super fries to get my son to eat them.

I love fried seafood but it's so bad for you. *yearns for a basket of fish & chips*

I guess frying is like cheese. You can just about fry anything.

I've had fried mussels, but I thought oysters were best enjoyed raw...and still alive.

Raw oysters can carry Norwalk virus and Nep-A, so I say cook them.

I love them steamed and dipped in a homemade sauce. yum.

    that's a risk i'm willing to take.

there's nothing like raw oysters drizzled in lemon juice. or with vinegar and shallots. yum.

and a glass of chilled white wine, of course.

and it's even better if you're by the sea and they're fresh out of the water.
yum. i could eat dozens of them.
    damn, now i want oysters.
