    4 organic bananas
    3 lbs broccoli
    7 apples
    2 vine-ripened tomatoes
    1 bunch spinach
    1 packet taco seasoning
    1 250 ml sour cream
4 chicken breasts (boneless & skinless)
    250 grams smoked bacon
    200 grams cervelat salami

Jeez - Are supermarket receipts THAT fascinating? You sound like the old ladies who launch dawn raids on our local store for $1 tins of beans they will never eat and then grumble to the checkout chick about the price. And I BET you all use coupons too - am I right?

I think it's like looking inside someone's medicine cabinet or purse -- lists can be very revealing.

True - A nutritionist would have a fit at some of these lists

Some of us are 'financially challenged" and so it is a way of feeling we have somehow beat the system in a way..the system that is out to grind us into the dust.

I know Soj - it's just the 'outraged old lady' tone that's so funny. I'm all for a supermarket bargain myself and my husband is the saddo you see at close of business buying all the dented tins and out-of-date stuff we'd never normally eat anyway. If I listed what's in my freezer you'd be appalled.

my last supermarket receipt consisted of nothing but twizzlers, light bulbs, and Mt.Dew. Blue twizzlers(blueberry) = very green poop!

I don't think coupons even exist here.

Anyhow, Undercovergator wins this one with her guess of $78. The price was actually about $85 (about 525 Norwegian Kroner)
Mmm... Am I wrong, or did it just get fatter in here?

Hey! I have an excuse! I have teenagers that hoover up all food leaving me with a few nutritious crumbs. Frozen burritos and pizzas are essential when having hungry teens around.
