Nothing beats my Grandma's fried chicken. *whispers*her secret is that she boils it first, then breads, and then fry*

EWWW I watched Emeril the other day and he was cooking them and he demonstrated how you apparently suck the fat out of the head and then hold the tail or something to somehow get the meat out???... I would eat the meat prepared and all but no crawfish-head-sucking for me!

Love that chicken from Popeye's. I like Church's biscuits better than Popeye's though. I was actually discussing fried chicken with someone earlier today, and I cannot understand how anyone could dislike fried chicken. It is my weakness. My perfect food. I've never met a fried chicken I didn't like.

Oh believe me Id love to eat fried chicken but the grease gets me really sick to my stomach as a perfect example last night. We had scrambled eggs, pancakes, bacon and sausage links and I was so sick to my stomach because I had a piece of bacon and two sausage links. No one else got a tummy ache. It happens everytime I eat anything that has been fried or has lots of grease.

Hey! Do not bash what you have not tried. There is nothing finer than some crawfish head suckin' Get a sack of live crawfish, some Zatarains crab and crawfish boil and a big pot of boiling water, lemons, corn and potatoes. Boil together, spread newspapers on the kitchen table and dump the whole mess on it and peel, eat and suck. With lots and lots of beer of course! Taste like mini lobsters, sort of..

EWWWWW!!! Everything sounds good...except the crawfish! yuck! Is it right that you suck the fat out of the head?..I would have to substitute something else for the crawfish. I also heard the story that When the Acadians were forced out of Nova Scotia, the local lobsters missed them and so swam after them, and were so exhausted by the long journey that they shrank down in size, and became the crawfish!

***crawfish head sucking would turn me into a vegan and make me run to PETA! hahahaha***

You suck whatever is in the head out. I don't like to think too much about what that actually is but it is some kinda tasty.

I would eat the crawfish meat..but somebody else could suck the *head matter* out of the head..no thank you! Anyway I would rather have some blackened redfish or chicken(thick and juicy from all those antibiotics and force-feeding in factory farms) than crawfish. Remember when blackened redfish was all the rage back in the 80's? Then it became blackened ANYTHING lol..who started that craze..Paul Prudhomme???..and is that Cajun or Creole cooking??

The Blackened craze started with Prudhomme I think but it harkens back to the Cajun tradition of cooking just about everything that isn't deep fried or crab boiled in a cast iron skillet till well done with oodles of spices. My great granny cooked like that and no one called it any fancy label.

mum shallow fries up chicken a lot. We have a few recipies for coatings. Mainly she does chicken fingers of thick slices chicken breast coated in cornmeal, paprika & ginger. That or she'll do a herb crust of basil, oregano and chilli flakes.
