I hate mushy over cooked peas, I think it's the smell that bugs me the most.

I love mushy peas and the little gray canned ones are the best. Having said that, I can't remember the last time I ate them. It's been years.

I was given a chicory salad the other day and while it looked very pretty it was so bitter I struggled to get even a few polite mouthfuls down. It was also drenched in way too much balsamic vinegar which is an acquired taste I never really acquired either.

I removed beef from my diet when I was between 16/17 to help lose weight, and I've since developed a total aversion to it. The smell makes my skin crawl.

Water chestnuts are another thing I can't stand. The texture is so difficult to describe but it's revolting. Ditto to figs, watermelon, and asparagus.

    I'm a pretty picky eater I suppose.

    here's just a few items I can't eat.

    Asparagus
    Sauerkraut
    Spinach
raw carrots and broccoli - I can eat them if they are cooked or in something
    brussels sprout
    eggplant
    pickled herring
    raw mushrooms
    cabbage
    liver

After this weekend, chocolate. Specifically Easter egg chocolate. Even the sight of brightly coloured foil is making my blood sugar rise.

The only thing I've ever eaten that I actively avoid and would never, ever eat again if I had the choice, is desicated coconut. It's the texture.
