^Apparently as a baby I would suck on empty beer glasses (or not quite empty) when I was teething. I managed to consume a bit of beer but that was no biggie in our household, yet I couldn't stand beer as a teenager and only developed a taste for it again in my 20s.

same thing happened to me. I would actually finish beers left out during parties at home. Hated beer all thoughout my teens and most of my twenties and didn’t start liking it again until my late 20s. And I still really only like lagers and pilsners, hate dark beers and IPAs

My grandad used to give me dabs of beer when I was a baby and I used to walk to the pub across the road with him on a Sunday to get a jug filled up (back when they used to do things like that) for after his Sunday dinner.

I rarely drink and didn't like the taste of beer until I was in my thirties, which means I have a very low tolerance for alcohol and am an extremely cheap date lol.

My first olive was one I stole out of my dad's martini when I was a toddler. It was olive love at first sight, but I didn't love martinis (especially dirty martinis) until I was in my late 30's.

Mrs Mo loves pilsners, lagers, and imperial stouts. She claims to really dislike IPA's because of how bitter they are, but last night she made me split an 11% ABV IPA with her that tasted like spiked grapefruit juice.

my issue with IPAs is the soapy taste. i actually love bitter lagers and any other kind of bitter drink but with IPAs i feel like i'm drinking foamy dish soap.

That's interesting. I've never had that reaction, but it kind of reminds me of peoples' reactions to fresh cilantro.

I hated fish or any kind of seafood. Now I love it, but shellfish doesn't love me.

My mother just reminded me I also used to hate salami, ham and most cold cuts, especially mortadella and Bologna. I still despise mortadella and Bologna but love good salami and ham and most other cured meats and sausages.

I really hated the hard crunchy part fried eggs can sometimes get on their edges. It gagged me out. Now it doesn't bother me at all. I also seriously hated tomatoes on burgers or any sandwich. Now I love 'em.

IPAs taste so skunky to me. I won't drink them. That's what beer that's gone bad tastes like.

I had to google what an IPA is, and I still don't really know. Maybe it's not a thing here? We have pale ale but I don't know what the connection to India is, and Coopers Pale Ale is quite nice in a pinch so I don't even know if it's the same thing?

Lucky. They’re so fucking trendy over here at one point it seemed like every beer was an IPA.

I don't drink beer anymore since I changed my diet, but I used to LOVE this apricot ale. I really loved pale or blonde ales too.

I was never a big beer drinker even less now that I’m avoiding gluten. but I do love a crisp lager when it’s hot out or with Asian food. Most gluten free beers suck and i’d given up on them until I tried a Japanese rice beer that was pretty tasty.
