they must have secrets that they are not telling us! And if they are going to be like that then they should STILL COOK FOR US!!!

*every great, great while she will make one of these and let me know so I can go and get some..and of course it tastes just the same as when I was a kid. I go home and follow the directions as best I can..and it just does not taste the same*
Don't slap me, cause I'm not in the mood!

Roast beef, mashed potatoes, cucumber salad, pinto beans, cornbread, apple strudel, filled cabbage I could go on and on because my mom is a great cook. I can make some of the things as good as her but I have never made a roast beef even as good as her worst. I love to go over on Sunday afternoon and eat with my parents and visit. One thing I've always tried to do for my kids is make a good meal on Sunday, I don't always get to but I do my best! She makes great pies too!

    chef boyardee pizza.
Egg McMurphy.(Mom's version of McDonalds and hers is way better.)
Grape Jelly (Mom and Grandma would make it in the summer. I would have to pick the grapes off the vine)
    Fresh off the vine Tomatoes.
Peppermint Patties(Grandfather would give them to us when we were sick)
Peanut butter and sugar sandwiches. My Dad's Grandma would make them for all her grandkids and each one of them (20 total)had their own special glass for milk. We each got our glass when she passed away. Mine broke.

    Pot Roast
Chicken Fried Steak with Mashed Potatoes and Cream Gravy
    Baked Custard, plain and chocolate
Spaghetti and Spinach. I do not know why my mother served these together but it always inspired my sister and I to do our "sexy eating" which always got us in trouble.
Homemade biscuits with butter and jam.
    Buttermilk with ALL the fat!
