Cap'n Crunch Berries. Oh never has something so painful tasted so good.

I also liked other cereals that effed up the roof of your mouth: Apple Jacks and Fruit loops. What's up with the recurring pain theme, cereal makers??

And I'm pretty sure they mixed in some crack with that sugar in all those cereals. We hardly ever got these cereals as a kid either, my mom was all about Total, Cheerios and Raisin Bran. To this day I feel guilty and crazy if I buy one of those sugary cereals like once a year, like I'm doing something illicit and my parents are so gonna yell at me. (But I'll eat a whole lot of other crap that I'm sure is worse for me, so go figure.)

All of these cereals being named makes me so want to go and buy a whole bunch of these cereals. I think my favorite was Captain Crunch. I also liked the Shredded Mini Wheats. I would get a platter-like big bowl and set them up in rows like in a little village and then would pour the milk in the other side so it was like a flood and would surge over to the other side and destroy the little village, swamping the 'cereal' houses and piling them up-and then I would eat them. *you know how kids are*

    Awwwwww me too...

As an adult some times I look at a box Fruit Loops, Corn pop, Lucky Charms and Captain Crunch and get giddy with guilty delight and I must have it.

Still my all-time favorite cereal, even though it does look like rabbit pellets.

    Cap'n Crunch was my favorite.

I also loved Quaker Blueberry Squares (unfortunately discontinued), Frosted Mini Wheats, Waffle Crisp, Froot Loops, and Sugar Smacks with honey poured over the top.

I was another child with no sugar cereals in the house. My favorites later on were Pops and Cinnamin Toast Crunch.

There was ALWAYS a box of this cereal in the cabinet at my grandmother's when I was a kid:

And don't let the name fool you. It had about 3x the sugar of Cap'n Crunch! Good ole grandma!

And looky what I found! Bout died when someone mentioned this cereal upthread:

But I couldn't find a pic of Cocoa Krispies with the Elephant on the box. Hmm
