white, black, puerto rican/everybody just a freakin'/good times were rollin'.
I'm shocked! but I guess he's going for the authentic approach...
missing nutmeg ... not a bunch, but a little...
also, i'd be intrested to know how much flour he uses with that mixture - if the ratio is wrong it won't have enough flavor.
The pressure deep fryer does really make all the difference although mine is really really really close at home. You can also make 'hushpuppies' with the batter that's leftover.
Terrible for you, but there are three days each month I allow myself to eat this shit ... and it's sooooo good.
Gee, he discovered the hidden recipe for shit. It's hard to believe anyone still eats this "passed for good food in 1973 when all food was bad" crap. Apologies to anyone who does, but damn.
Every once in a blue moon I'll get a taste for KFC. But I've switched to organic chicken without hormones and antibiotics, and damn, I would have to not think about how disgusting the chicken is. I know they inject chicken with saline as well to plump it up.
i can't eat KFC.. it gives me HORRIBLE migraines
^^Probably from the buckets of msg they put in their food.
^^ which is a known trigger which is why I'm shocked that he put it in his reciepe..
I know for a fact that in the UK you're not allowed to have any antibiotic from the animals in the milk & whole tankers full of milk have been dumped when its happened (they test the milk prior to adding it to the system).
My ex and I used to go for KFC a fair bit and I was never that impressed with the stuff that we used to get. It was pretty bland and honestly not worth the drive out of town to get it. On the other hand, there's a little kebab shop in Yorkshire that I used to go to for southern fried chicken when I was over there and I would have trampled over old ladies and children to get to it. Bloody gorgeous stuff!
The faux KFC recipe I have contains dried tomato soup mix and dried ranch dressing too.
