I've seen this done with cider in a pub to a guy who was a well known arse.

Mwahahahaha! In my case it was a friend of my then-boyfriend. This guy used to come to the house regularly and try and treat me like maid service. I'd answer the door and he'd stroll into the house past me as if I wasn't there and say to BF "Tell your bird to get the kettle on, mate, I'm gagging for a brew". I had numerous arguments with BF about it and he always swore that he'd sort it out but never did. Tackling the guy myself made no difference and he still kept coming over so that's when I gave him the piss cuppa. It was very satisfying to watch him drinking it.

well, in my case ... it was a teacher. a math teacher made me go get her some water during a fucking test.... basically interrupted my cheating and put me at risk of missing my opportunity to get the answers from the smart kid... so I fixed her little wagon... mind you, I was nice - I flushed the toilet before dipping her a cup out... went back for 10 year reunion and found out that she'd died of cancer... assholes still wanted to talk about me dipping her a glass of water from the toilet... like I caused the cancer or something!

I normally have what I'll eat during the week in my fridge, usually salads, eggs, chicken and assorted fruit and veg. There's always cheese, yoghurt and some wholewheat bread in the house, but nothing really to offer guests unexpectedly, unless I pop down to the baker. There's always coffee (filter and instant), tea, sugar in my place, though rarely milk. Oh, and chocolate! Chocolate is a constant.

I'm thinking of installing/designating a pantry like area like Nigella, what's
her name, has. Just to have some basic stock items you can make a
decent meal and desert with. And to know that in case of a local epidemic
or wheather conditions that prevent us from going out, we'll be okay on
the food front for about a week.

i've been pretty good recently about keeping actual food in the house. mostly because i started doing my supermarket shopping online and they deliver
i still go to the supermarket though because i don't trust other people to pick my fruit and vegetables. i'm very picky about that - i like my apples rock hard, peaches a certain way, tomatoes only if they're nice and red instead of the pale, orangey hothouse variety, etc, etc... so i order everything else and only go to the market to pick out produce.
