I just can't stand the stench and overall grossness of the food and surroundings, tho.

Very true, I can always tell when my coworker has gone there, he comes back smelling like a greaseball.

I forget where I saw it, but there was someone who did their own version of Supersize Me where they ate only the "good" stuff from Micky D's - the salads, yogurt, etc...) and they lost weight. So it's all about making smart choices I guess.

They aren't THAT good- they come prepackaged with enough preservatives in them to last an entire month. There is literally NOTHING at that friggin' place that is actually healthy.

Oh, no doubt - hence the "good" in quotations. Preservatives, sodium, etc., are definitely important considerations for general health but I was speaking merely in terms of maintaining weight, since that seemed to be the initial concern.

I tried a Macca salad ONCE and even without the dressing, etc, it tasted very sugary to me. Maybe I'm particularly 'sensitive' to sugar because I never use it on/in anything or maybe I could taste the preservatives and other chemicals. Either way - YUK.

They put sugar and salt in everything. Their French fries even have sugar in them.

Were you veg to begin with or was that a decision you made when you decided to start this diet change?

i've always been vegetarian, i just prefer it that way. i am not cool with how they treat animals in the meat industry, is dreadful

anyways, i diet in that i just try now to eat really really healthy..when i eat tons of sweets i feel and look weird..so now i am really kicking in with whole grains, salads, smoothies, avocados, etc..
