My mom was very strict with our diet...so growing up, I barely had anything that had artificial colouring, flavouring and/or were proccessed in anyway. Grew up in the boonies so we always had fresh veggies and fruits. So I'd say the contents in our fridge was just mostly all natural foods.
Food colouring still grosses me out a bit (esp bright colours!!!!!!!!!!!!!) to this day, but I'm much more lax about proccessed stuff. Now I have all sorts of store bought sauces and pastes and so on and so forth. Western diet is a lot different from what I grew up with, too. I seem to have more protein foods, like meat, seafood and eggs in the fridge, I didn't eat so much meat (esp red meat) growing up.
