It depends on how good your barista is if you order a dry cappuccino. I've had awful ones and really good ones both at local coffee houses and Starbucks. I really prefer my cappuccinos close to bone dry (very little milk at all, and the rest foam), but if I know the barista doesn't make good, dense, creamy foam and free pour the milk it is a waste and I'll end up getting something else (usually a cafe au lait/misto at Starbucks-1/2 brewed coffee, half steamed milk).

And yeah, I'm admittedly a snob about my drink, but working at a coffee shop for years has made me that way.

We get some flat out undrinkable orders. I have a regular who gets 10 pumps of chocolate in her Frappuccino-there are usually 2 and I find that too sweet. Also, the butterbeer frap from the secret menu is atrocious. Beyond pure sugar and I don't know how anyone drinks it.

Curious to know what the butterbeer frap is??? One of the barista's at my local Starbucks makes the best foam. He's awesome.

I drink all coffee without any sweetener/sugar. In regular brewed coffee, I just use creamer or half and half. espresso - just black. cappuccino - no sweetener/sugar, but sometimes a little dusting of cinnamon on the top. Usually in the wintertime.

I was in Starbucks once and the woman ordering ahead of me put 15 packets of Splenda in her drink. I don't remember what she got, but I remember her handing the guy the packets of Splenda. That's nasty.

There's a place called Cafe Delia and they make the most perfect cappuccinos I ever had, they're my weekly coffee splurge.

I adore chocolate but egad. Taste aside, what would the calorie count be???

Noday, to this day I am a little intimidated when ordering coffee at starbucks. Part of me always feels like a dumbass. I guess because I don't drink there much and I am not familiar enough with the products. I even have an app & have studied the drinks but when I actually order, I forget everything.

I feel like my drink order always sounds wanky because I have to drink soy milk, I had an incredible soy iced caramel latte today in coffee republic, it was seriously great. Perfect mix of coffee and caramel, and they used unsweetened soy so it wasn't cloying.
I smile because I have no idea what's going on

The calorie content with the extra pumps comes to around 660, the standard recipe is 500. It is 113g of sugar (the regular recipe has 79g)

The butterbeer frappuccino is (for a grande) a creme base frappuccino made with whole milk, 3 pumps caramel, 3 pumps toffee nut (this is triple the syrup in a standard creme frappuccino), coat the cup in caramel drizzle, top with whipped cream. It's gross.

Sounds like a perfect thing to bring an anorexic person back from the brink of death.
