    Totally agree about the time investment vs. payoff. I made croissants from scratch once, never again. They were delicious, but way too time and labor-intensive.

    I wonder why the Timpano supposedly takes 25 hours to prepare? Even if you simmer your marinara for 4-5 hours, you could make the meat balls and dough and cut everything else up in the meantime, so you'd be ready to fill the dough once the sauce is done. I could see it taking maybe 8 hours from start to finish, but not 3 times that long.
