Aldi’s Bringing Out Bacon Covered Halloumi Bites For Christmas

Just when you thought Aldi couldn’t bring it any more with their Christmas menu offerings, they go and announce that they’re bringing out bacon-covered halloumi bites. I know, I’m salivating at the thought too.

While the price hasn’t been officially confirmed for the tasty cheesy treats yet, Aldi has confirmed that they will be landing in stores from December 5th.
    I don't know if i even have an Aldi's!

Twice this past week I have bought a small piece of Délice de Bourgogne. It is heaven and I eat the whole thing which is why I only buy a tiny bit once in a while. When you open up a wheel, it looks and feels just like a beautiful cake.

waterslide - do you eat that cheese straight up? or on a cracker?

this is my go to for most cheeses:

amazing. there are a lot of great artisanal breads around here but this is my fave.

I have days where I think I could live on that cheese for the rest of my life. But even though it's a triple cream brie, it may not have as much fat in it as parmigiano reggiano, strangely enough...

Well, the first night I brought the cheese home I put it on my old standard which is a Triscuit. It is my favorite cracker and I normally have them on hand. However, Triscuits are a bit too hearty for Délice and so I use mini baguettes (even toasted for a second) or apple slices if I'm trying to be good and go no-carb(ish). But I have also discovered some crackers that are pretty gross by themselves but are perfect for soft cheeses just because they are so bland:

They taste just like Communion wafers, but go very well with brie.

I went to my local Polish deli & got “cream cheese” (described as quark on the label) with herbs & onion and some with spinach. They didn’t have any with horseradish (my fave) I try to get rye bread at the same time but ended up with wheat as there was no rye yesterday.
