    Default Baked or fried?

I tend to bake more things than I used to, but I do sautee veggies regularly.

But there are some things, like leftover potatoes, turkey bacon and halibut that taste better fried, IMO.

I said I never fry anything, I prefer to bake or broil. Then I remembered that every so often I'll make potato latkes, so it's really a "I fry sometimes", but I can't change it.

I will saute onion, etc, when making something else, and occasionally stir fry but I NEVER deep fry. I was given a deep fat fryer as a wedding present many years ago and it's still in its box. Dunno why I kept it really because I have absolutely no use for it.

I havent fried anything in over 2 yrs. I always bake or broil. I hate the smell it leaves behind and the clean up if you dont have a splash screen.

I will fry chicken sometimes, but maybe once every few months. We never fry potatoes, always bake. I love stir fry... we have that a lot. I'll saute an onion for a hamburger once in a while. That's about it.

I usually bake and broil my meats too. I stir fry vegetables, chicken, etc and I hardly ever deep fry food in oil or fat. It's too messy and it's bad for your system to eat fried food alot.

My husband insists on deep frying chips (fries). I was complaining just this morning about the grease smell. Nauseates me.

I haven't deep fried anything in years but I love fried leftover potatoes with feta, onion, hot peppers or tomatoes (or anything I have lying around). It's like a potato pancake. I use good oil though, or Pam olive spray.

I eat the above about once every 2-3 months so I don't feel too guilty.

Well, even I have to admit that chips, fried properly, have a crispness and a fluffiness within, that baked fried do not duplicate. My husband bikes regularly,is vegan and does yoga, so it is not a health issue. I just think it STINKS!
