I know there are Liver lovers and Liver haters, I for one love to eat liver and onions. My question is how do you cook liver?

I dip it in egg then flour and fry it with onions and bacon. Do not cook it to much or it will get tough.

We soak ours in milk over night and then just put it in a frying pan with butter...about 5 - 10 minutes per side. Oh, then we top it off with fried onions and bacon...nummy.

More than two minutes, 5-10 sounds right. Just keep checking it until it isn't raw anymore. I cut into the thickest parts to test. And the above mentioned recipe for chopped liver sounds right on, just like mine that was taught to me by an old Russian woman. Now I have the urge to go make some.

You aren't the only one, Glasgow. The only way I like liver is in chopped liver form, and only when homemade. My grandma doesn't make it anymore, and buys the deli kind (one less thing for her to cook, she is getting older), so I've missed it the past few holidays.

I hate liver but had to cook it when I worked in a restaurant that had "senior's day" on Wednesday...I dreaded it! And they ate that shit up! We just floured it and fried it..made our gravy and used grilled onions....

I made Liver and Onions tonight. OH it was sooo good. I dreaded it in flour and cooked for about 2 minutes on each side then put it in the oven with 1/4 c. water, covered and it came out just right and how I remember my Nana made it. Thanks for the recipes
