Foods that bring you back to childhood
Man, I'm totally nostalgic this weekend... Here are mine:
Mischief. Mayhem. Tattoos. Soap.

All of mine were homemade! Like toast (made under the broiler-not a toaster) with 4 pats of butter,sprinkled with cinnamon sugar. Chess pie. Fried apricot pies (in a half moon shape) Peanut butter & jelly sandwiches,with the two mixed so well you couldn't see the jelly. Crust removed & cut in triangles. Sugar or oatmeal raisin cookies. Baby donuts (Cheerios). Crumpled cornbread in a glass of buttermilk. Frozen grapes.

Keftedes (a Greek meatball). I avoid red meat and fried stuff, so I never have them these days.
God, I loved those. My dad used to mail them to me from Germany.
I never realized how creepy this kid looks before.
A Bulgarian chicken and rice. Greasy as hell, but yummy.
Proja-a Serbian corn bread. I actually made some a while back, and was rather impressed with myself. Almost as good as my gran used to make.
