Default Post a picture of your favorite tea cup

I love tea cups! Here's one of my favorites, a Paragon bone china butterfly handle cup, vintage 1938.

This is Devon Rose by Wedgewood. Mr's Mother (that I never got to meet) left him 24 place settings-all very old-and I treasure it. The teacups are my most favorite of all. Mother and I have our coffee from them each night she is here!

PS-Taffy, this may be my most favorite thread ever! Thank you!

Blue Willow is one of my favorite patterns. It's not hard to find - you can buy an entire 22 piece set at JCPenney - but, it brings back a lot of memories for me. A very old set has been in my mother's family a long time, and I love to drink tea from the teacups.

The pattern tells a story of two lovers who were forbidden to be together, so they ran away. When the girl's ex-fiance finds them, the gods turn the lovers into doves.

I love both-Blue Willow is just a classic & the Black Royal Albert is a stunner!
I love the very shape of tea cups. Just soothing somehow.

ooh! count me on excited for this thread!! i love china teacups - makes me think of my grandmother who collects them and has them in a glass cabinet. i'm always on the search for really unique and neat ones for her but she says her cabinet is too full so i've started to keep them. i don't a darn thing about them since she picks them for the look but my favorite one has a stamp on the bottom that says "Imperial Heinrich & Co - Selb, Bavaria - studio hand painted"

Use it! It fairly begs for green tea with honey!
