Default Where is the most tasty tap water?

When you think about moving to a new city, you might take into account the school districts, the job market, the home prices and the property taxes. But do you spend time thinking about how the tap water tastes? Probably not. However, thanks to the Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting, you can now factor in the taste of a municipality's tap water in your move decisions.

This last Saturday, the panel of independent judges tasted water samples from 120 sources and determined that the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, which serves Los Angeles, and the town of Clearbrook, British Columbia tied for first place in the tap water category.

For those of you in Los Angeles, do you think your tap water is award worthy? For the rest of you, how does your tap water stack up?

I just moved to L.A. in September, but I've never tasted the tap water either! I'm scared to, most everywhere I've lived has some sort of off taste in the tap water, some worse than others. At this point just the idea grosses me out.

The tap water in Houston isn't bad but sometimes you can smell ever so slightly the chlorine or whatever; a filter works though.

Mine is terrible, the local food service places all have to have these massive water filtration systems just to be able to serve the tap water. My Starbucks has a quadruple filter just to be able to make decent tasting coffee...

Vancouver's is terrible, when it's clear (half the time) it tastes like chlorine, when it's reddish bown and full of floaters...I have no idea, because I refuse to drink the shit.

I love Houston tap water. It tastes very clean... I can't think of a better way to describe it.
