Cheese
What are some of your favorite cheeses?
Im not much of a cheese eater but I have fallen in love with Havarti cheese and a cheddar, Vermont Sharp Cheddar.
Give me some suggestions on cheeses to try. Thanks

I love all sorts of cheese, but I stick mostly to sharp cheddar, cottage cheese and mozerella.
(Dairy is super-expensive down here)

try paneer in a curry; it's an indian form of cottage cheese, a solid lump of cottage cheese, leerdammer is a good "holey" cheese, quite mild but nutty, and of course edam is lovely, although full of fat!

SMOKED GOUDA!!! YUUUUUMMMM!!!
Havarti is pretty awesome, too, especially the flavored kind. And I like Brie. And there's this Dominican cheese that's pretty damn good.
Did I mention I like cheese, too?

Ok Im watching a commercial and it says to have 3 servings of cheese but how much do you think makes 3 servings you know like does a cup of cheese equal a serving or does 8 oz. equal a serving?

Same here, although most manufacturers use synthetic rennet. It's only the "brand name" cheeses such as parmesan thatcannot use synthetic rennet due to the traditional make for the name, however most cheeses not onyl use synthetic, but have similar brands eg vegetalia rather than parmesan, and so on.

I like all cheese, but you can't go wrong with a good, strong, mature English cheddar. Also the 'blue' cheeses like Stilton, Cambazola and the best one of all, Roquefort. The gouda with cumin seeds (spicy) is great too.
