Pacific Breeze - Are you a chef?
Simply asking as all your recipe's sound amazing, you'd probably be able to take a turnip, onion, piece of string, bit of old cheese and an old boot with a sprinkle of pepper and make something gourmet.
Honestly it makes me feel a very feeble cook
Will have to print some of your recipe's out but I'd probably make a mess and the other half would still prefer McDonalds to food a'la Tenaj!

No, I'm not a chef. Just someone who loves to cook, eat and read about food and cuisine.

You might want to consider a cook book.

She has certainly inspired me to attempt to cook something that doesn't involve Campbell's soup. I'm scared, though.

Re: Pacific Breeze - Are you a chef?
Don't be scared, it's easy. There are lots of easy recipes out there. I like easy because I'm so damn busy right now. I'll post more easy recipes in a bit, but I'm at a conference now until Wednesday.
I'd love to do a cookbook with my sister who was a chef. Have to finish the old thesis first, though.

I would buy it in a second, you just have a natural flair and passion which people don't always have for things.

Re: Pacific Breeze - Are you a chef?
Anyone who can inspire/encourage others to actually CREATE a meal using simple, basic ingredients instead of ordering a BigMac is a hero IMO. I don't know when cooking became such an intimidating idea for so many people. Do parents no longer involve their kids in cooking at home or are the parents fast food junkies who don't know how to boil an egg either? The actually process of cooking is extremely pleasurable and it does not have to be some complicated, pretentious, elaborate performance. Making a delicious spag bol can be just as rewarding.

It must be all the ingredients you use, things I don't hear of frequently.

I've mastered the Spag Bol, but I always stick to easy things. I dunno, I moved out a year and a half ago and the concept of pulling together an interesting, elaborate dish scares me. My mums a good cook but I've only picked up a few things off her. Namely her hot pot and I swear the boyf is going to move out if I make it for the 5th time this month!!

Google is telling me it's an abbreviation for Spaghetti Bolognese

Sorry, I'm just amused that you bothered to Google it for some reason. Aussies abbreviate everything so apologies to those who didn't know what I was talking about.

Re: Pacific Breeze - Are you a chef?
Well, I didn't know, and I google anything I'm not sure about. It's very fast since I have the google toolbar. My friends jokingly call me "the googlemaster"
