Default Food Scares and other stuff!

    Cow milk is bad.

Red meat causes mad cow disease.

    Eggs give you cholesterol.

    Coffee is bad for you.

    Sugar gives you diabetes.

Diet sodas gives you multiple sclerosis.

Pesticides in foods give you cancer so buy organic.

Yogurt, milk and dairy products give you sinus problems and headaches.

Don't use PAM, teflon pans or pots made from clay because you're dying of cancer.

    Chocolate causes migraines.

Bottled water is bad for you.

Don't play with toys from China or you're getting lead poisoning.

Don't eat certain fish because you're getting lead poisoning too.

Limit your cell phone use because you're increasing your odds of getting a brain tumor.

Shrimp are the cochroaches of the ocean.

Don't use tampons because they cause cervical cancer.

Even our beds have mites and we're sleeping with thousands of microscopic animals.

It's depressing. I swear it is! It makes the world this big, scary, depressing existence and we can't eat anything, do anything, enjoy anything, drink anything, etc.. because we have to live with this FEAR that we're going to DIE DIE DIE...and we're all headed for disease. I want to cry. Life isn't worth living anymore, it seems like...lol.

Why even eat, drink, do anything! I'm tired of people telling me how BAD things are (like my mother). How about how good they are? Can we enjoy a cup of coffee without being told we're 'addicted'? Can we enjoy a piece of pie without being told we're going to get fat? Can we eat a steak once a year without being told it has so much fat? How about some positivity? Sugar, aspartame, carbs, meat, yeast, white flour, alcohol, cheese, etc...everything causes 'something'! Even the sun's the enemy--it gives us cancer too. So what's the answer, live in the dark? Then they say 'lack of sun' cuts your life by years, messes up your body's natural clock, natural rhythm!

What's become of society, why are we so SCARED of everything?

I know what you mean, and the worst thing is everything changes so fast. One minute something is going to kill you, then it's gonna prevent you having a heart attack

There are some things I refuse to give up- chocolate being the main one.

Let's just not pay attention to the moral panic they are trying to create and tuck in

Don't worry Honey, chocolate doesn't cause migrains in everyone! I think all this stuff is ok in moderation, but if you were say drinking 1-3 cans of aspertame juice daily with a litre of dairy chaser, THAT would be brutal!

Note: since I stopped drinking milk at age 16, I HAVE had fewer colds, never since have had bronchitis. Could just be a coincidence tho.

^ That's so weird you say that. I gave up milk a few years back and didn't have a cold in years!

Did you find milk made you mucus-y* in your throat? (*not a real word!)

Apparently sugar and no exercise causes diabetes.

Organic food has some pestisides in it also. Face it, everything we do has some sort of side effect. I wouldn't worry about it, Ive been doing some of these things all my life and I always feel pretty healthy.

Those are mostly crap. If diet soda causes MS, I would be a paraplegic by now, and I have a sister with MS who drinks no caffeine whatsoever.

Eggs give you cholesterol? I didn't know cholesterol was a disease...
