    How do you guys pronouce Nutella?

    We (me n' hubby) always thought it was "NUTella" esp since it's made of hazel NUT!!!
    We just saw a Nutella commercial on TV right now and the lady pronouced it "New (nu) -tella."

    When I was in France, I heard it pronounced "noo-tella." People in the UK overwhelmingly pronounce it the same way: noo-tella.

    LOL It might sound like Noo-Tella in Yorkshire DH, but we poncy southerners (and Aussies) call it Nut-Tella (emphasis on the second syllable).

    I cannot BELIEVE we are having this discussion.

    Ok I have the Answer.

    The Name was created in 1964.

    It is the merging of the word 'Nut' and 'Ella' to give it a softer sounding ending.

    Its original name was 'supercrema gianduja'

    Nutella®, in its original form, was first created in the
    1940s by Mr. Pietro Ferrero, a pastry maker and
    founder of the Ferrero company.

    I heard that Nutella and Marshmallow Fluff make a good sandwich. Never tried it though. I just eat Nutella from the jar
