    Default Bling Cookware

The diamond encrusted cutlery set which costs MORE than a house | the Daily Mail

Most homeowners would expect their house to cost more than their cutlery.

But a new cutlery set is to go on sale with the jaw-dropping price tag of £200,000 and if you fancy a saucepan as well then you'll be forking out another £100,000.
The kitchenware carries the hefty price because the items are all diamond-encrusted.

Selfridges is catering for a demand in luxury items by selling a144-piece solid silver cutlery set which is covered in 4,000 diamonds - weighing a total of 74 carats.
Selfridges head of home Kit Li-Perry said: "This wonderful cutlery set is catering for customers who have a passion for craftsmanship of the highest order where money is no object.
"We know this is exactly what some of our customers want from Selfridges and we are delighted to be able to satisfy their expectations."

The cutlery set is made to order and goes on sale at Selfridges Wedding Shop.
Meanwhile Harrods is tapping into the same market with a "show stopping" gold and diamond cooking pan priced at £100,000.
The department store describes the two-handled pot as being "probably the most precious pot in the world".
Made by German cookware firm Fissler, it contains 200 diamonds of varying sizes.
Harrods will display the luxury pan in its second floor cook shop from September to October.
It is also made to order for the £100,000 price tag. One cutlery lover said: "I love good quality cutlery, but even I wouldn't fork out £200,000 for this."

Tacky! Also, anyone able to afford that would never even see it because only the help sets foot below stairs.

I bet scrambled eggs stick to those pans just like they do to my hundred dollar Kitchenaid teflon pans.

Anyone who buys that needs to be beaten. Yeah, they may have the money, but do something good with it.
