What's your favourite comfort food?
When I'm feeling blue or cold, I like to eat potatoes, especially mashed potatoes with lots of garlic and cheese. Mac 'n' cheese, soup, beef stew, anything homey and filling.

Re: What's your favourite comfort food?
It has to be something warm and filling, definitely Mashed potatoes is a favourite one. My Mums soup is the best though, it remind me of being a little kid. Tomato soup with macaroni. When I was little I used to try to suck the soup through the macaroni! Maybe I was a deprived child and didn't have enough toys!

Anything starchy or sweet. I'll always indulge in some sour candies, lollipops, baked potatoes, large portions of white rice and noodles.

I'm not sure, I just eat anything. Raid the fridge. I don't eat icecream though. But I usually don't eat icecream anyway.

Re: What's your favourite comfort food?
*mashed potatoes, or similar. i love bangers & mash, and shepherd's pie
*soup - squash soup or another soup i make often in winter which is leeks, *carrots, peas and tomatoes.
*dark chocolate
*hot cocoa
*roast chicken and french fries
*digestive biscuits and a mug of hot milk
*kaiserschmarl - typical austrian dish, great for when you go skiing. it's basically crêpe dough, but before the crêpe's fully cooked, they shred it and cook it in butter till parts of it are kind of crisp. they put a huge pile on your plate, then sprinkle it with icing sugar, and serve it with either cherry or apricot compote on the side. mmmm

Re: What's your favourite comfort food?
kaiserschmarl - The Austrian Heart Diet LOL
If I'm sick or hormonal or just need comfort I always go for simple toast with butter and Bovril - a kind of beef stock spread. It's easily digestible and reminds me of my childhood and I love it.
