Reheating food...
How many times do you think it is safe to reheat something?
I made a hug pot of soup Monday night. We ate it again last night, and hubby wants it again tonight...would it be ok to heat and eat again for the second time? Guess the old lug loves my soup, bless his heart

Are you reheating the whole thing each time or only a portion?
I'm hesitant to reheat something and then stick it back in the fridge several times over, but if you're leaving most of it in the fridge and only heating what you'll eat, you can do that for several days and be okay.

Heated the whole thing up...I will more than likely end up throwing it out, but I hate to waste food. I knew I should have taken part of it out and put it in the freezer....guess I will learn one day...

It's probably OK, but I usually just reheat a portion of whatever I'm reheating. Live and learn.

What we do might be strange: we make a big pot of soup, and as long as we bring it to a full boil before we sleep and is not touched that night, the soup is still good out on the counter for the next few days until it's finished.
Once when I was young, I loved a certain soup so much, I went in for a 2nd helping but b/c my parents had already boiled it, the soup went bad.

Be more cautious if there's any meat in it but a couple of re-heats should be OK provided you bring it to the boil before you eat it.

This goes to show me how spoiled(no pun intened) I am when it comes to refridgeration. I would never ever leave soup on my counter for any length of time.
Im confused as to how did the soup go bad if it had been boiled? I thought that was a good thing.
