    Default Work Pot Luck

My district is having a pot luck dinner-at the end of our 6 hour district meeting, where I don't believe I will access to anywhere to reheat (and maybe not even refrigerate). So far there are already 4 people bringing desserts.....what on earth can I even cook, and be shelf stable, and not gross for this thing?

Chili. How long will it have to sit unrefrigerated? In any case, take it in a crock pot and leave it set on warm all day, that will mitigate any potential germs. Actually, that should be good for any crock pot dish that isn't in danger of drying out.

Orzo pasta salad with chopped up red onion, bell peppers, kalamata olives and sun dried tomatoes. Bring a bottle of Bernstein's cheese fantastico dressing on the side and mix it up right before serving. It'll keep for many hours without refrigeration.

How about a savory pull apart bread? A couple of different flavors like cheesy bacon, nutty pesto, sundried tomatoes and garlic, etc. With dips.. one creamy, one spicy, one oil based.

It'll probably be unrefrigerated for 6-7 hours. The crockpot is a good idea though, I hadn't considered that.

I signed up to make chili-extra benefit is that I know it's something I can make dairy free, and we have a couple people in the group who will need that, but everything people have signed up for so far is a dessert or some kind of dish with cheese in it.
