Wasn't sure whether to here on the TV section.
I pretty much love any cooking show on any channel; one of my favorite channels is Create TV (public television), and love watching Lidia's Italy, Pati's Mexican Kitchen, etc. I also love most all Food Network shows, my current favorite is The Kitchen on Saturday mornings. There are a couple of shows, though, that even though I watch, I've never had any interest in their recipes: America's Test Kitchen and it's sister show, Cook's Country. Their recipes are so convoluted and time consuming, IMO, and it annoys me when they take an authentic recipe and change it to their taste. For example, this morning they were making a traditional Japanese stir fry noodles and steak dish, but decided "they" preferred to use Napa cabbage rather than regular cabbage like the recipe called for, and lo mein noodles instead of what was normally used in the recipe. I'm sure it tasted good, but I'm not sure you can still call it authentic or traditional...
