Best/worst meal you've eaten lately?

Best -- incredible seafood dinner at a friend's house last night.

Worst -- veggie dog at the beach today.

Best - Hearts of Gold Chicken (seasoned chicken breast topped with artichoke hearts, sundried tomatos and green onions. it also came with some kind of light alfredo sauce. it was SOOOO good!!!)

Worst - mcdonalds

Best-Grilled Swordfish w/ lemon sauce and fried mushrooms at this grill in Detroit (forgot what it was called) yesterday.

Worst-Cold tuna from can for breakfast.

Best: The Crawfish Etoufee at Ralph and Kakoos
Worst: Cincinatti Chili at some chili chain in Cincinatti. Boring, bland and it made me feel like I'd just eaten a brick. No amount of tabasco sauce could help.

best: great dinner at an erythrean restaurant last week. lamb and beef, and lentils and chick peas and lots of spices and veggies, and the best part is you get to eat with your hands. and we ordered a lovely bottle of châteauneuf-du-pape to go with it. mmmmm

worst: was in a hurry the other day and bought a sandwich and it was nasty, the bread was okay but the cheese was gross, the ham was dry and it was mostly mayonnaise

best - Seafood gumbo with jumbo shrimp and cajun sausage. Light your mouth on fire, but sooooo good.

worst - Tomato slices/mayo & boiled okra. Seriously made me want to .

Best- bbq shrimp at some diner near a LA oil refinery. Hotter than hell

Worst- breakfast in Ireland. Why do they need to deep fry bread?

Best -nothing beats a traditional Filipino home cooked meal at my mama's.

Lumpia(fried egg rolls)


Beef Caldereta(Beef and potato stew)


Pancit Noodles


Chicken Adobo(Soy Garlic Chicken)


And what would a traditional Filipino meal be without fried rice.



And for dessert I had some mango ice cream. Yummy!



Worst -a plain old hot dog from a local hot dog vendor.

You're all so sophisticated on the food department.

Best: Mom's rice, beans, ground beef and lettuce salad. I had 3 helpings and ate the leftovers on the following day. The woman can make the simplest things taste like they're out of this world.

Worst: Last night's hot dog. The stand usually makes great ones (really big and nicely filled too... Brazilian hot dogs have a lot more filling options than American), but last night it was weak.

Best: Mom-in-laws Rouladen (beef rolls she learned to make in Germany). mmmm!!

Worst: Repeated nights of hot dogs and Kraft mac and cheese when I was a kid and dam poor make this the worst meal I can eat. It makes me want to gag.
