    Default I Feel SOOOO GROSSS!!!

I just got back from a week at an all-inclusive in Mexico last night. I tried to not over eat and over drink, but I still feel absolutely disgusting.

I'm a pretty athletic person, and I try to eat healthy most of the time, so a week of doing nothing but lying around and eating has left me feeling like I need to go on a cleanse.

I have to go grocery shopping tonight, because I have no food in my house. I can't even begin to think of what to buy because the thought of food is grossing me out.

Anyone have any nice, mostly vegetable, somewhat light suggestions for me for meals for this week?

I'd say salads!! With vinegarette dressing (vinegar has cleansing qualities...)

Steamable veggie bags. Put a bit of I cant believe its not butter on it and some parmesean cheese and it tastes good. Or perhaps a nice light cucumber and crab salad with a vinegar sauce. It tastes really good too. Or sushi is always a nice light option.

Have some rice. Just rice with a little butter. Yum, and light.

Meryl doesn't even try anymore. She just calls Lanvin and asks for curtains with a belt.~Bitter

I would suggest getting "asian dishes for dummies", and cooking up some vegetable and rice intensive light meals.

Those always make me feel a lot better.

    Salads help too

Try getting good greens for salads. I don't trust the bagged stuff. I suggest geting romain lettuce or something leafy instead of regular iceberg lettuce.

As for vegtables, I like eggplants and those big mushrooms (portobellos I think their called) Eggplants are really good when you grill them and marinate them, and mushrooms are meaty and a good subsititue for hamburgers sometimes.

    Oh man, eggplant??

I can't stand that stuff.. it just has this horrible, flavorless fleshy mush texture.. like you're biting into a corpse in advanced stages of decomposition..

No, but it feels like you're eating crushed ones if you indulge in eggplant.

my vote goes to rice and veggies too.
Don't worry about what other people think. They don't do it very often.

But eggplants are really good when ya spice it up and cook it right. I know that it can be mushy when you boil it or water it too much, but when it's grilled it's perfecto.

Have loads of vegetables, they have loads of antioxidents and are really filling.
Green Tea is great for detox. I love it but it is an aquired taste and they DO have many different flavours so im sure you would be able to find the right onw but i just like the plain one and havent tried the flavours hehe

I enjoy eggplant as well. I've never had it mushy, to me it has about the same texture as zucchini. I usually grill it, bread and deep-fry it into a fritter-esque concoction, or turn it into a parmigiana.

Cooked correctly it is meaty to me, not mushy.
