Default McDonald's to launch a burger with almost 700 calories

This is the first non tech write up on this site, but hey it is related to one of the greatest sporting event - The Fifa World Cup. Fast food major McDonalds is hoping to cash in on the Football fever as it prepares to launch the World cup burger. The special burger will be available for six weeks and will be around 40 % larger than it's biggest burger the Big Mac. So after relishing it you will be left with 667 additional calories which is equivalent of 9 fun sized Snickers bars. The move has prompted outrage from health campaigners with Liberal Democrat MP Steve Webb orgainising a petition against the burger.
    Thanks Mark

My bf was saying something about this the other day. Its apparently a big mac without the salad and 40% more beef or something stupid like that. I'm happy to say its one I won't be indulging in!

People are going to continue to eat like this. I am not surprised. I mean, they still smoke and they know it causes death but I guess you gotta die from something.

I tried it because I love bigmacs... but it was just too big and sloppy. I prefer the normal sized ones
Mmm... Am I wrong, or did it just get fatter in here?

Ya, something happened to me that i am too afraid to touch McD's from now on.

Three months ago, I had my usual breakfast in the a.m. and then lunch at 12:30pm. I had a good hearty lunch that I know will keep me satisfied until supper comes around. But then decided to treat myself to a small french fry from McD's on the way home after some shopping with girls from work. Then I came home, ate supper, but after supper I was still very hungry, so I cooked two chicken breasts, intentionally to eat one right away, and the other for next day lunch. OMG! I was so hungry, I inhaled the 1st chicken breast, then went on to chow down the 2nd chicken breast and then still hungry so I ate a bowl of cereal. But scary thing is, I will still hungry, so I just decided to go to sleep, or else I would have kept eating!

I feel something was in those french fries to increase my appetite. I know my body and something was DEFINITELY off. I will NEVER eat them again.

A Burger King downtown has a sign in the window that says "Burgers for Breakfast" actually urging people to eat that crap on the way to work!

This is insane. And sounds really, really disgusting. If I had to eat 700 calories in one sitting, I wouldn't waste them on a tasteless, chewy McDonald's burger. ICK.

I think you're quite right there. McDonalds doesn't seem to fill you up. You feel sick and bloated for a while then peckish soon after. I don't go there often but there's nothing better for a hangover IMO
