Mine is mexican!
Definitely Chinese. I could eat it every day.

I said other. It came down to Chinese or Japanese, but I'll take some good sushi over Chinese food any day.
I dont really have a favourite ethnic food. My diet is really asian though. I eat a lot of mediterranen food too.
Cajun. I'll even eat crawfish, if given the chance. But most Japanese cuisine comes in a close second.
I used to live close to an Indian restaurant and man, if you
could handle the hot spices, it was great and filling. Even now
I'm tempted to ride across town (45 min by subway) to get some
Chicken Haravera or Sag Ghost, which is a lamb dish.

Italian or Indian. Indian does not automatically mean hot and spicy. There's lots of subtle ways to make a curry. I like Chinese food but I'm allergic to MSG and it's really hard to find a restaurant where they don't use it, and the time and effort involved in home-cooked Chinese food is seldom worth the effort.

Just because you're offended doesn't mean you're right.
I love Mediterranean/Arabic food. In fact, about 3-4 times a week, my friends & I have lunch at a local Arabic restaurant.
I was alone & starving yesterday so I ordered some hummus to go, sat down at the TV & ate the ENTIRE THING in ONE sitting!!!

Southern food is considered ethnic?
I feel so exotic!

Indian. I like Thai, but always find Chinese a disappointment.
A big boy did it and ran away.
well if you are from up north like alot of us then it kind of is..all that fried chicken, grits, okra, fried pies, pecan pie, peach pie, corn muffins... getting hungry now!!! I would also consider cajun and creole to be "southern' as well.. moreOriginally Posted by Laurent

My mom is severely allergic to MSG and we found out that most of the smaller Chinese restaurants (the ones that make the dishes when you order them instead of pulling them from the vat of lo mein ) have no problems just skipping the step where they add MSG if you ask when you order it. She hasn't gotten sick from Chinese food in years b/c we know the 4 or 5 restaurants in the area (it's a stereotype, but Jewish community=lots of Chinese restaurants) we can go to where they are really good about it.Originally Posted by A*O
I actually had a friend in high school who was deathly allergic to MSG, whenever we would travel she had to bring a box of her own food with her and hope restaurants would understand why she was sitting with us but not eating any of the food (especially when we went to Disney World, no chance there they would make anything special ordered).
I'm half Persian and LOVE the food. There aren't any restaurants near me that serve it. I have to go up to Massacusetts or NYC. My Dad makes good Persian food, though so I get my fill!
Moroccan food rocks! But, I might be biased...
