Default Person/celebrity chef you most want to cook your dinner

My choice would probably be one of my friends who is an excellent gourmet cook, or my sister, a former chef. If I had to choose a celeb, I'd probably pick Gordon Ramsay -- it wouldn't be boring! -- or Bob Blumer, The Surreal Gourmet, who I used to know when he was a music rep. Delia Smith might be a choice, too, or Niegella Lawson. Actually, I'd like to see Nigella and Bob together as they both have quirky styles.

Does it have to be a celebrity/chef (as in famous chef) or the chef of a celebrity or can it just be anyone you designate to cook for you, whether they be a chef, celebrity or just anyone?

Anyone. Or a celeb and a non-celeb. I gave people the option.

Well I would have Stephen from the show Top Chef. He would provide a good meal, would be sure to bring a selection of good wines, and then after dinner I could kill him and keep the wine. Anybody who has seen that show knows exactly why I would kill him-for the benefit of all humanity.

Jamie Oliver cos I'd just stare and drool at him cooking. How sexy is that: a gorgeous chef like HIM cooking for little ol' ME?

Why stop there? Let me be greedy: I'd love to have Ken Kostick and Mary Jo Eustace (from the Cdn show 'What's for Dinner?') cook in front of me so afterwards I'd pimp-slap her silly and ask why she's clearly such a BITCH to him. Then I'd pour her own cooking on her head (why would I eat her manufactured poison?), ask if her being a bitch was what drove her ex to run into the arms of UGLY Tori Spelling (you gotta be pretty pathetic, no?), give a high five to Ken then run out screaming, laughing in the streets, exhilarated.

    But I digress...

I might have Gordon Ramsay in for the entertainment value and watch him have a tanty every 5 minutes. I don't like poncy over-precious food or preparation thereof. I like celeb chefs who just kinda bung stuff together and create something sensational so I'd go for Jamie Oliver (provided he stayed in the kitchen at all times) or Nigella Lawson who I'd invite to come and eat too because she fascinates me.

Wow PB you really know Bob Blumer? Do you know why he always wears a silk/satin pajama shirt on his show?

I agree with Nigella Lawson, she's fab. I saw her on Jonathan Ross (UK Chat show) and she was really entertaining. I love all the weird stuff she does like boiling ham in cola. (never tried it though). I think Jamie would start to piss me off after a while There's only so much "Pukka" talk a girl can take.

Oh I LOVE Nigella! I'm so sad she's not on tv anymore! She'd make things I'd never touch in real life, but the way she talked about them and ate them made me want the stuff anyway! I think she'd be really fun, too, so I pick her. But no uber-rare meat (or meat at all for that matter)...maybe some nice fish. Or Giada de Laurentiis. Her version of Italian isn't the heavy Americanized stuff in most places here. You could actually eat a lot of the things she cooks on a regular basis. PLUS she loves dessert, and so do I!

Emeril Lagasse - he even makes me want to eat stuff I hate, he makes it look soooo good. Or Paula Dean, she makes great comfort food...

Emeril! Yes! Except I don't reckon he's very veggie-oriented. What with the pork fat and all...

I would like Emeril too, his food looks so good. I've watched his show before and he just treats his guests so well.
