I am addicted to these kimchi flavored noodle soups they have at the corner store. Rather high in sodium so I don't eat them often.
For pasta, I like spaghettini (rather than regular spaghetti) but I also like fettucine.
And Udon noodles, yakisoba noodles. I don't like soba noodles but soba is good for your health.
Wonton noodles and shanghai noodles are delish, too. My hubby likes chow mein noodles.
But my most fave of all the noodles is Pho noodles. It's a Vietnamese beef noodle (rice noodles) soup. Yummy to the max!

Yakisoba and Lo Mein (they're different but practically the same thing... I had to look it up to find out what the difference is... and apparently, very little). I could just eat beef lo mein for the rest of my life and never get tired of it.
I also love those big fat noodles like vermicelloni... I could just eat them with butter and a little parmesan or mizithra.
When I was little I loved noodles of all sorts so much I sounded like that guy on "Gigglesnort Hotel"NOODLES NOODLES!!!! Does anyone know what I am talking about?
Not a huge fan of Asian noodles - they are always too salty and I am allergic to MSG. Italian pasta is fabbo.

surprise surprise I like the unprocessed noddles like the green tea pasta and the wholemeal pasta and buckwheat pasta. But I also love alot of asian noodles like egg noodles and the kind you put in salads.
I've never tried green tea pasta! That sounds new and exciting.

Wholemeal pasta is so BARFY!!!Originally Posted by Lani
I like wholewheat pasta and spinach pasta. I also love filled pasta, especially buttnernut squash pasta. I like vermicelli, but I stay away from packaged noodles as a rule. And I still love old-fashioned home-made mac 'n cheese.
I like the whole wheat penne or spaghetti.
I also like the fresh homemade noodles I get at the Farmers Market in the spring and summer. Cannot wait for that. I love the spinach kind, and the mushroom kind. I buy a bunch and freeze them.
I also get this wonderful Dairy Free Pesto there.
Ooooooo. I am so SICK of winter!
Yes, penne. How could I forget penne?
Not if you're used to them. I love wholewheat pasta now and will never go back to white flour pasta. It's a matter of taste. Don't much like many of the Asian noodles, too much MSG and too much sodium.Originally Posted by dakodas
When I was on a wheat-free kick I tried rice pasta. It was OK with a really strong sauce, but it didn't have the same texture. I use wholemeal pasta for most things, but the more subtle or delicate pasta sauces deffo need the old fashioned white stuff. Wholemeal can be a bit overpowering.

^^ Agreed. I mostly use wholemeal, but certain dishes, especially with seafood, work better with the original.
I love all the funny shapes!!! Bowties, wheels, spirals!!! I started getting whole wheat pasta, and the funny thing is, I don't like the ww spaghetti, but prefer ww for any other type.
ooooooh I am such an italian pasta addict!!!!
