Default What do you think of the cost of this?

ok..for $8.00(US) at the grocery store I just got 16 pieces of baked chicken(4 breasts, 4 thighs, 4 drumsticks, 4 wings) plus two 2liter diet cokes-all this for $7.98. I am going to make some dinners with the chicken and freeze them for later use. Is this a good buy or what?(especially compared to fast food)?

well two 2 litre bottles would be around.........2-4 dollars. so that's half of it already. and 4 bucks for 16 pieces of chicken is a deal. KFC sells 2 pieces of (a breast and a drumstick) for 2 dollars on tuesdays (which would be considered a sale)

That sounds about reasonable. 2 L run about 1.99 at the grocery store and if we get a bucket of chicken it's at least 8 dollars. Then we also get rolls and Amish Macaroni Salad and fried potatoes and, yeah, we never get out of the store for less than 30 bucks.

well I went and got a similar deal today but with whole chickens at the grocery..and they are not fully cooked! I have them in the oven now and will thoroughly cook them(I like my chicken very well and basically overcooked anyway). Do you think since I am recooking them I can then freeze them in individual meals?(I have ten tons of very good quality freezer containers). if whole chickens are not falling-apart done then I am never happy with them.
