Default Need help with Halloween menu for kids party

Ok so we have about 12 kids and 30 adults coming over for a Halloween party this weekend. I want to have some simple (not terribly messy) foods that everyone will like but that are geared towards kids. HEre's what I'm kicking around:

Mac and cheese (brains and goop)
Hot dogs wrapped in breadstick dough (mummies)
Buttered corn (witches teeth)
Mashed potato ghosts
Purple grape and cantaloupe skewers
Cupcakes
Blondies
Cream cheese chocolate brownies
Oatmeal bars

Drinks: apple cider with shrunken heads carved from apples and martinis

Any comments, suggestions, ideas? This is the hardest part for me.

Put these on something: black olives cut in half lengthwise. One pear onion inserted in middle with toothpick. Makes scary eye. Use on finger sandwiches, etc.

Do some pumpkin cookies and roast some pumpkin seeds.

I got a Halloween cookbook so here's a few ideas:

Devilled Eggs with litthe devilish faces made out of peppers, onions etc.

They wrapped cocktail weiners in a little dough and stuck an almond in the end for a nail, looks like a severed toe, served with bloody ketchup of course

They made meatballs snapped like mice and then addes whiskers and a tail out of veggies

Of course graveyard dirt cake, which is really lots of oreo cookie crumbs and whipped cream over a cake base, and decorated with cookied to look like gravestones on top.

You could make a thick dip like a cheese dip or taco dip and shape it into a pumpkin shape on a larger plate

Floating a juice hand made from a glove in your punch bowl

Hope you have a great Halloween party!!

Also-pop corn balls, wrapped in plastic wrap are always popular.
Love the glove in a punch bowl idea! You could freeze water in a disposable glove! Or maybe water/juice in wild color.

Severed finger cookies!

Take your favourite cookie dough and make finger shapes. They don't have to be perfect and if you have little helpers, their playdough experience will come in handy. Press lightly on the backs with a fork to make the knuckle impressions and add an almond at the one end for a fingernail. You can use sliced almonds or whole, leave natural or dye them red with food colouring. They can then be made gory with bloody icing. Lots of pics here: severed finger cookies - Google Images

Some stuff we did at our party last year. Yeah, we like our Halloween pretty gross.

BBQ bat wings (chicken wings)

Black cat kitty litter cake (I'm sure you can Google a recipe, but it's basically white cake, part of it tinted green with food coloring and crumbled up in a never used kitty litter pan with tootsie rolls throughout, served with a litter scoop; you could also do something similar with chocolate cake and gummi worms)

Brain jello (If you can find the mold, that is. We got one at Spirit, if you have that store in your area)

Blood punch with floating spooky hand (red colored punch; hand is made by taking a glove and filling with water tinted with green food coloring, then freezing; remove glove and put in punch when ready to serve)

Nigella Lawson does some disgusting looking (but tasty) Halloween kids treats. I especially like her Blood And Pus (raspberry Jello chopped up with dollops of custard).

What about 'make your own scary face' pizza? or you could make them yourself ahead of time.
