Super Bowl eats
So with the Super Bowl coming up this weekend what does everyone have to snack on or eat while watching?

Re: Super Bowl eats
Cheesy bean dip, do you make it yourself? If so would you be willing to share? Sounds like something my husband would like.

Re: Super Bowl eats
Well it's not very fancy----I take a can of refried beans heat it, add cheese, heat some more, then mix in a spicy salsa.

Re: Super Bowl eats
I year when I was feeling very loving and threw a football party for my boyfriend, I shapped the bean dip into a football. I used some utensil to make subtle little marks all over so it look textured like a football and then used sour cream to make the laces. It turned out really cute.

Re: Super Bowl eats
Hot wings, crispy and mouth-watering chciken wings smothered in BBQ sauce, served with ranch and celery sticks to add some color.
That and onion rings, served with some ranch dressing.
Yep I let go of my diet on Superbowl.

Re: Super Bowl eats
Hubby requested sloppy joes. I'm making 'pigskin potatoes' to go w/ them and mini cheesecake tarts (a recipe I took from one of my fitness mags).

Howdy neighbor.
Pigskin potatoes aren't as exciting as they sound. Just baked potato wedges w/ montreal steak seasoning (from one of Rachel Ray's books). I'll melt some cheese on hubby's and serve them w/ non-fat sour cream and chives. Kinda like healthier potato skins they serve in restaurants.

Re: Super Bowl eats
I heard of pigskin potatoes once, very good especially topped with the sour cream.mmm
I just have another superbowl dish to add. Homemade potato chips. Just fry some skinny potato slices in the pan with a small amount of oil, and put whatever flavor you like in it (I like salt and vinegar BTW).
