Agreed. I am a carnivore til I die and I just can't imagine no wine, beer, or CHEESE. Seriously I might die if there is no cheese. FAH REALs

I'm semi-meatless here. Never buy hamburgers, steak, any kind of cow meat. Occasional pork product (gimme mah bacon, but not that maple-flavored shit, you can have that...), and maybe some sausage ravioli once in a blue moon. Lots of fish, some chicken/turkey and way too much pasta. Lots of veggies. And chocolate. And wine - not giving mine up any time soon.

Ha, still pondering Paula D. as a vegan. I can picture it, "Now add a jar of raw coconut oil to your pound of blackeyed peas."

Hub won't give up meat, so I buy grassfed, pastured, organic from a family farm. If you buy in bulk, the price is not that bad.

I eat wild cows, deer, wild pigs/boar... why? If we give up eating the bastards and we can't use their skin or milk or fat... what becomes of them? overpopulation and cannibalism?

I'm a big fan of bison meat. Leaner than beef, which means less fat, more protein, more B12. And apparently bison are more resistant to disease than cattle so no antibiotics in their feed for most brands.

    We're having bison burgers tonight!

Well I'm definitely a cheese-ophile (cheese-oholic, really). Giving up cheese altogether is outta the question unless it's a life and death thing, and even then...well, it wouldn't be a bad way to go!

Yep, this week I've had bison stroganoff and bison bolognese.

And it seems to me there should be some distinction made between food that is made with an animal's body and food made by an animal's body, as long as it is cruelty-free (no mean feat, I know). Especially honey, for instance. I mean, do the hard-core PETA types refuse to wear silk just because it comes from a worm's butt?
