I don't spend a lot but I could on a pair of nice boots. I bought two pair of clogs last week not being able to decide which I wanted. I was walking around in them trying to decide which I liked better then realized I paid $40 for one pair and $20 for the others, took the $40 shoes back. Hey maybe I can get another pair with the $20. I saved.

My Mom always said she had an expensive foot-10AAAA! She couldn't get shoes less than $100. Mine is more main steam,so I go between $80-$100,occasionally higher. If I hit a good shoe sale, look out! I don't want a $500 pair. Too many good looking ones much cheaper. Boots are higher, but worth it-they can just make so many outfits.

I spend anywhere from $60-$120 for shoes.

Honestly, if I spent over $500 on a pair of shoes, they would go in a display case and not on my feet I could see me ruining them the first time I wore 'em.

$60 maybe. But that was a long time ago.

Nowadays, no more than $20, and not more than once every 2-3 years or so.

Shoes do not make me feel more attractive or less attractive. Working out is a different story.

I like to let my body be my adornment.

My mom is a shoe WHORE. She has no qualms about spending money on a few pairs of Louboutins.. I have no problem with it considering her shoes are likely to end up on MY feet every once in a while.

I have saved up a few times to buy pairs of designer flats.. I got good use out of them, too.

OK - I'll admit that I've spent $500-$600 on several pairs of Prada boots in my lifetime. And I will spend $200-$300 on a good pair of shoes that I will wear often. I'd rather have fewer pairs of good shoes that are durable and stylish, that I will wear often, than many pairs of cheaper shoes that fall apart. This goes for clothing and purses too. I look at spending money on clothes as how much the cost is per wear. I've bought cheaper, trendy things that I'll wear once or twice, they're no bargain. Expensive pieces will last longer and I'll wear them for years. Each wearing will cost pennies.

where i live it's pretty much impossible to find a nice pair of well made leather shoes for less than $150. $200-250 is average for nice shoes. $100-150 for more basic, every day ones. anything below and the quality starts to suffer - for ex, zara shoes are between 80 and 150 but they are almost always plastic and made in china. or they're leather on the outside but lined with plastic and give me blisters.
i'm more embarrassed by what i've spent on purses...

No not really... If I didn't have to deal with customers, then I would be real lucky.
