I adore hats and wear them at every opportunity even though they're not strictly needed down here. One of the last gifts my mother bought me was one like this, but my band is solid black:

I own several vingtage hats and wear them whenever appropriate, and sometimes when they're not.

I love hats but due to zero self esteem I would feel like a knob if I wore one. I'd like a Philip Treacy hat or a cute wool one! I'd love to wear a trillby one day.

Awww, DV, I used to feel like a weirdo wearing one too. As a matter of fact, whenever I go home for the weekend or on holiday my little brothers tease me because I wear "hippie" hats... but it doesn't bother me anymore. It's all about feeling confident.. if you feel good in what you're wearing chances are you'll look good, too.

I'm seriously thinking of getting one of these, in Sweden some have a very nasty nickname for them (don't know if others do...), we call them "Bear cu..." well you know what the C word is. Would you laugh if you saw someone wear one? Remember it can get pretty darn cold in Sweden.

I absolutely love that hat! It looks so comfy and warm, i'm gonna try to find one like it.

And it will get cold enough to wear it here in TO.

I like this one too. I have one similar that is forest green and gray.

I was about to order some boots yesterday but I just have nightmare visions of looking crap. Where are you from? I'd wear a hat if it snowed! Maybe I should try to find a way to live in Norway.

I live in Texas.. like I said upthread, it does NOT get winter-level cold here by any standards so it's more of a aesthetic thing to wear hats, for me, than it is about practicality... but I still like to wear them, no matter what other people say. It's all about feeling good in what you wear.

I'm sure I read that it snowed in Texas on christmas day a couple of years ago! Texas sounds great but whenever it's on television it is usually a programme about obesity problems.
