I kind of want to try wearing them. I'm big on comfort over looks when it comes to fashion.
I wore heels every day (at a job where they were mandatory) for ten years and it was horrible on my feet. In the hospital I'm working at now, almost everyone wears these. I love them and I officially give not a FUCK what anyone thinks about how they look. It's actually wonderful to work in a job/career where I don't have to get tricked out like a French whore daily!
We wearers of crocs on the job don't have time for concern over shit like this when lives are at stake.

I actually went on a rant about how ugly these things are in front of a woman who - unbeknownst to me - had a pair on.

A lot of my friends are wearing them so I have to keep SCHTUM out of politeness. But I wouldn't wear them. I am a big tall girl so the size I'd need them in would look double-ghastly anyhow.....![]()
They are s-u-p-e-r-c-o-m-f-o-r-t-a-b-l-e-! My mom tells me they are the most comfortable shoes ever at work (she also has to wear them).
Now that they're "trendy", what's up? They're far from being that hideous. Not the happiest fashion choice maybe, but I wouldn't be so tragic!!
Three reasons to be teacher: June, July, August.
MrAO has a couple of pairs - green for everyday and black for formal. His feet are abnormally wide and these are the only shoes that fit AND are comfortable. I'd never wear a pair but I can understand why they are so popular. My sister wears Crocs thongs/flip flops and they are a bit less daggy but just as comfortable.

I put them on and they felt super weird. They even looked weird on. So, the trend is so not for me...they are so weird.

Croc shoes banned from Swedish hospitals
Seems like Crocs probably aren't the best shoes for nurses to wear anyhow.
I always thought that clog-like shoes that could slip off if you were rushing would be dangerous in a hospital. Wouldn't sturdy lace-ups be safer?
However did Florence Nightingale manage, one wonders?![]()
I'd have thought that a pair of trainers would be the most comfortable and practical for people rushing on their feet.

Though I have seen people flouting the rules with backless, any that we wear are supposed to have backs or at least straps. I run, walk, turn my feet, crouch, lift, etc. and never worry about mine coming off. If I'm in the OR I'm gonna have foot covers on for protection anyway. Actually, it's when I am wearing those that I have to be careful, as it's easier to slip.

ok for anyone under the age of 10 but otherwise these shoes are hideous......there are plenty of more attractive options in comfortable shoes.......
America....land of the rubber flip flop, track suit as streetwear, and now horrible gardening clogs as footwear...what an unattractive group my countrymen are
