Yes, there are some really exquisite hair combs that would look so elegant with a chignon. Look through some styles and maybe get your stylist to try one or two before the wedding and take some pictures to get an idea of what you like.

And then post them on here for us to ooh and ahh over!

You ladies are the BEST! I'm very fortunate to have you to advise me! I love the link with hairdo ideas, it even reminded me that I have stubby eyelashes, and some nice, not over the top, false eyelashes might be a good idea as well! Boy, I've got some homework to do!

That is a lovely dress & I think you'll look stunning init, you'll be wearing the dress not the other way around, so it's perfect.

Have you thought of wearing your hair down & having small braids at the front? You're going to think I'm crazy when I suggest this but the skanky Paris Hilton thread where she's showing her best side for the camera in her mug shot.... Her hair looks great.... (I'm so shallow, I know!)

on 2nd thoughts maybe not... But here's the link anyway

I love the elegant dress too. Way too classy for Vegas! LOL I also like the idea of a hair ornament rather than a veil which often looks a bit twee, especially on a more, ahem, "mature" bride. Just a simple chignon with some discrete bling to adorn it and you're good to go.

I do hope you are not suggesting she is not a virgin bride?

Oh not at all. She must be a virgin because she's wearing white. I'm just not too keen on the veil thing. They get in the way and look stupid IMO. OK maybe for an understated Jersey Shore wedding but nowhere else.

    ^^Hay! I can see this!!

I'm not into wearing a veil this time around. Isn't that for purity or something? My 15 year old son is giving me away. Kinda hard to explain the virgin thing with that going on...

I know you can see it - we're being cruel to be kind. You're old enough to be told the truth but if you want us to go "squeeee" that's OK too.

Seriously, that dress is a knockout and really doesn't need much else IMO.

That dress is beautiful and has beautiful detail which shouldn't be hidden. I'm with the crowd who suggest a loose chignon with a hair ornament or flower. Whatever you choose, I'm sure you will look beautiful and elegant.

That dress is simply stunning! I am sure you will look amazing in it.

As for hair, I would go with pining it up to allow the detail of the straps to show and to keep clean lines. I'd also go with the idea of a chignon rather than grecian curls. The dress is so simple yet beautiful that I think a smooth and simple hairstyle would work best. I also like the idea of something like this fastened into your hair:

I'm loving the dress Sher! Very beautiful. I agree with wearing your hair up to show off those gorgeous delicate straps, but I do like that pic of Paris Hilton's hair! I'd ask your hair stylist for some advice and perhaps try a few different things to see what you like best, that's what I did and ended up with something competely different than I thought but it suited me far better.
