do you mean with straps around the ankle?
i've got fairly thick ankles myself but with shoes it's all about where the strap is on your ankle.
if it goes around the ankle pretty high up, above the ankle bones, it can be unflattering.
but if it's got low-cut straps that hit below the ankle bones, like this shoe Nina Ulphia at Zappos.com
then it's actually pretty flattering, especially if the shoe has vertical detailing up the middle which further creates the illusion of a longer leg.

okay, i've spent the whole day (seriously ) on the internet searching for affordable silver shoes & clutches that look similar to the ones you posted.

i'm desperate, because i went shopping 3 times and didn't find anything silver.

anyway, i've found lots of pretty stuff on online shops and i don't know which one's the best, maybe you could help me again.

    my favorite:

    these 2 are similar:

    clutches:

and 3 black ones, i love the first one but silver shoes and a black clutch... ?

i'll definitely buy this clutch, i'll order it later. i love it, too! and (converted) it's only about 38$!

but i'm still not sure about the shoes... so these 3 are in the "final round". i really like the first ones, but none of you thought they were the best, so... i don't know...
i hate myself for not being able to make decisions!!
i'm also afraid they won't fit, but i don't even wanna think about that...

Those are cute, too. They will do fine-just order!
PS-not the last pair-if that stretches out even a little, your foot will slip slide around-dangerous.

i like the last pair best.
but my faves are the last ones in the first batch of shoes pics you posted. (these: i think they are really cool.)

but if you're getting a pair from these 3, then my pics would be either the 2nd or 3rd pairs, with a preference for the 3rd. i wouldn't worry about them slipping out since you can adjust the strap in the back.

Hey Stef... coutn me in for the silver shoes/accessories. I think black shoes would be a no-no that blue dress.

    Happy graduation, btw.

sputnik, i actually love these, too and they'd actually be better than the other ones, because they're the only ones without spike heels (i usually never wear high heels and won't be able to alk anyway).
i took them off the list because i thought they were way higher than the rest, but i checked again and they actually aren't.
the only bad thing about them is the golden buckle.

mhhh i'll ask my best friend tomorrow and i'll buy the pair she likes best.

    thank you cmmdee!

    i've also brought some earrings:

    ^^
don't worry about the golden buckle. it's a small accent and it's a part of the shoe, so it's not like you're wearing silver shoes and a gold bracelet or something. the mix is part of the design. i also love the thicker heel. i think it looks more modern and it will be easier to walk (and dance) in.

    cute earrings.

i don't like the gold buckle either but it's true that they are more modern looking.

    the earrings look great!
