Ooers, Some SPARKLY SPANGLED brown tights so I can look like Shar ;D

No, but all advice is welcome and I had given the tight option thought, but I've never worn anything but seamed stalkings and nude hose. I would probably stare at my legs all night like, "ZOMG...the COLOURS!" lol

I was thinking some opaque brown tights? Then you could do the dress and the shoes still..

I don't suppose blue tights to match the brown and blue scarf I'm going to wear (?)

    as pictured here:

Nevermind. I would kill myself before wearing tights that blue.

I think blue tights would be a little much.

Do you have any winter white pants to wear with the brown shirt? That would look nice.

Blue stockings would make the outfit too funky -- not appropriate for a formal occasion.

Whatever Lola Wants, that vintage black flower print dress is so cute.

For next year, I'd get a classic but vintage looking suit. The kind where you don't have to wear a shirt underneath, just some well placed jewelry. That style is made for you.

In formal situations I always wear something classic, but that doesn't mean boring. This way I get to use it a lot. It's all in how we accessorize. It's not the little black dress itself...it's the jewelry, scarf, etc. You can still look youthful, show your fantastic figure and be the classiest woman at the party.

That dress would look awesome on her. I don't like that clutch, but a clutch in a different color would be perfect.

The brown top (it's hardly a dress) with tights would be funky but it would still look all wrong for a FORMAL occasion. It's too short, even with opaque tights. Lola has killer legs, but her husband's company do isn't the time to be flashing them.

I know money is tight but if you can find a copper/bronze brown dress like that ^^^^^^ black one and add a few discrete accessories - remember, Less Is More - you'd look sensational.

I agree-what about a bronze watermark taffata? If you could sew, that would take no time.
