I would never wear this, oh gag- just the shoes alone. She looks like a potato. But the rest of the clothes are rather smashing, I say.
Baby, by the time you have kids and they're in school, no one will care about you.

I can't believe dolman sleeves are coming back -- I saw a girl wearing a top with huge sleeves today. I'm glad big shoulders are back, tho, because I am broad-shouldered and a bit busty, and it's hard finding clothes that actually look good on me when everything stylish is designed for sizes 0-4. I'm an 8, but that seems to be a huge size in a lot of fashionable stores.

I'm not a fan of baby doll tops/sleeves tho -- unless you have thin arms, they aren't that flattering. Empire waistlines tend to flatter most everyone and I am so happy that they are in style again.

    Great thread!

I am also high waisted, often wear the high waisted pants with wide legs, but the problem is I've got ginormous boobs! I stick to dark tops, or a white blouse with a dark vest. I don't wear tops that "drape" past the boobs, they make me look preggers, they have to be snug.

5'8", size 14/16, always wearing heels!

I manage a large, retail establishment, and enjoy remaining fashionable.

Any advice for the big boobed fashionistas??

    Thx, xo

    Ditto on the boob donation.

Great job on the thread. I have heard that pink is going to be a hot color. Is this accurate?

    1) Are oversized bags still in? I have looked at them and I just don't have that much stuff! Not even close!
And is white still a good color for a bag? As in, not going out of style any time soon?

I think oversize bags are not going anywhere anytime soon. Most of the hot bags for the coming seasons are mid-size to large. I think the bags wont be as incredibly large as they have been lately. They will move back to a more reasonable size but still stay oversized. Oversize bags are so practical and wearable. I don't see it dying out anytime soon.

And white is always a great choice for a handbag in spring and summer. I'd go so far as to say its timeless. But especially for this season, white and cremes are continuing as hot colors.

Here's a selection of some of the hottest bags for spring and summer, all oversized:

    LAMB:

    Derek Lam:

    Christian Dior:

    Jimmy Choo:

    2) Are wedges still going to be good for spring?
Wedges also continue for spring and summer, with an emphasis on peep-toe styles reminiscent of the 40s.

    Some of the spring shoes:
    Christian Louboutin:

    Fendi:

    Gucci:

^^Sometimes, but everyone I work with has only really known me in heels. If I wear something low, it freaks them out, for instance, if I visit work on my day off, in flip flops or tennies (rare ocassions those are.....), I'm kind of "incognito"
I like being taller than many when I wear heels, we're at a good height for that, enjoy it!

I'm still answering individual questions. I just wanted to post these posts b/c there were several questions about the colors for spring, and tomorrow I'll post more about the wide-leg trend and answer some questions. And so..

The colors for spring: basically: muted neons, specifically yellow, bright blue, rich pinks and various whites.

A good pictorial representaion, via JW's Blog:

    More examples from spring/summer shows:

Thanks again Cali! I know you're probably overwhelmed, but I was still wondering...could you suggest some ways for us 'pear-shaped'/Kelly Clarkson built types? I've got a booty/thick thighs and I would love to know the way to wear the tunics/leggings/etc. The clothes this season are great (other than skinny jeans, thank GOD they're going out). Thanks in advance

    On the skinny jean/pant issue:
I really think that they are over and out, at least in the US. It just isn't a wearable trend here. It will continue in Europe and Asia and on the fashion runways, but it really isn't being picked up in the US, outside of the fashion/Hollywood sections of society.
I'd really like to believe this, but then I remember how long it took from the time lower waist boot cut jeans hit the runways until regular people started wearing them. Several years, at least here in NC. They're still pushing skinny jeans hard in stores like Express, and I think they're catching on with the younger crowd here. I'm just afraid it's only a matter of time before the rest of the population tries to squeeze into them - Muffin tops with low rise jeans were already unbearable...I shudder to think what will happen when women who aren't young and skinny try to wear these.

    See.

No one ever has decent advice for gals with ginormous boobies when it comes to fashion.
