That sounds similar. We only got the Higher Power Panty last weekend, but we've almost sold out of them, they were a VERY successful new product.

Lane Bryant, we used to exclusively carry the plus sizes of Spanx, now Torrid carries them as well.

Oh cool! I just checked the Spanx website. The Higher Power comes in a variety of sizes. It seems to have replaced the other item I had seen. My power panties come up fairly high already. They come up high enough that I am careful not to let my shirt ride up in public so I will not be mocked for wearing "shapewear" !

hehe, the power panties go to mid-torso, I believe. I'm short including a short torso, so my footless ones already go to under my bust

I like guacho pants with tall boots in the winter and, today, when it's 500 degrees outside, I'm wearing them with a little white T-shirt and a 3/4-sleeve, light-weight DKNY jean jacket, and wedge sandals. I look kind of cute

I'm too short to wear them and not keen on seeing them on anyone else, actually. Like 80s shoulder pads - I didn't like gauchos in the 70s and I don't like them now.

I'm guessing that jumpsuits (one pieces) and parachute pants are the next to be resurrected. *shudder*

Real Gaścho pants (the bombachas) are for the most "macho" of all "macho men" in the world: Brazil's southernmost state's, Rio Grande do Sul, and some men from Argentina. Take a look at the hideous thing:

For some reason, men feel very virile wearing them with other fugly accessories.

I have a black pair of gauchos. I wear them with strappy heels or wedges and a clingy bell sleeved top. Looks very nice together with the wide sleeve. When I dress them down, I will wear with a tank or lace top and layer with necklaces and a chunky bracelet. Sandals also go great.

Makes me hungry....the waiters at Brazilian steakhouses wear them here.

I think I only liked them on Lauren Hutton back in the '80's. But otherwise, this is an unflattering trend that will always be ugly, and should stay dead.

I just saw two twentysomethings walking down the sidewalk a few minutes ago and almost laughed out loud. The outfits weren't in matching colors, though all neutrals...both sported gauchos, flip flops, layered tanks and newsboy caps...
