I was quite proud of my big 80's hair back in the day. I still love lots of volume and texture like in dangerous' above photos. I like ponchos, they're cozy. I think thongs and low rise jeans are super comfy, but you don't have to show them off.

I agree with many of these with a few exceptions:

I love ponchos and I wear them in the Fall, before it gets really cold enough to require my heavier coats. They are great becasue they aren't cumbersome and don't make me feel claustrophobic. I also think they are pretty and I get complimented on mine a lot. And since my favorite one is from Mexico circa 1971 it's sort of hard for me to see it as some kind of modern fad.

Also: I am rather fond of some shrugs because they are practical. They keep your arms warm while still allowing you to show off a pretty dress or whatever cute top you are wearing. They are good for layering over tanks.

Finally, I see mid-lenght skirts as being a classic look that is ideal for work and wearing with boots in the Fall/Winter. I don't see where those are a trend/fad at all.

Yeah, the mini isn't as "liberating" as they make it out to be when, say, you actually have to do something.

I like shrugs and big hair still - just not the afro perm styled hair which is teased out with a comb.
