Default Dare to flaunt your bra straps

Saw this on a beauty blog:

One fashion gripe I have is bra straps showing when ladies wear spaghetti strap tops or sleeveless tops and Iím not a fan of the clear silicone bra straps either. I know its supposed to be ďtransparent and invisibleĒ but its there and its more obvious than most people think. But what if someone makes bra straps so fashionable looking that you canít help but want to show them off? Iím not talking about those colourful or patterned regular bra straps, but bra straps that are truly unique fashion accessories themselves.

Introducing DeLowie Bra Strap a company from France that specialises in such fashionable bra straps. Hah! I bet you never realised that the pictures above were of women showing off their very unique fashion accessories!

The bra straps hook onto regular strapless bras or tube tops and you wouldnít even think they were part of your inner wear. There are also some regular coloured or patterned bra straps that some might like to flaunt.

The cute thing about these accessories is that it actually helps you hold up your strapless bra - I can tell many a disaster story about strapless bras that have to be permanently tugged to stay up or that are so tight I can barely breathe.

Best of all, DeLowie ships worldwide! Hurrah! Shipping is an affordable flat fee of $5. Iím more drawn to the unique ones rather than the normal looking straps though Iím not sure Iíd find an occasion to wear them out. How about you?

Have a great weekend and stay beautiful,

    Paris B

That is pretty cool, the bra looks uncomfortable.

Oh this is a nice idea! I quite like some of them, although some of them look kinda stupid. It always got me when watching Sex and the City that Carrie's bra straps were always on show.

i didn't mind that at all on SATC.
i'd rather see a bra strap than one of those cheesy transparent ones.

I hate visible straps....and the clear ones as well....

there are so many underwear options that they're is no fucking excuse for looking like a moron that doesn't know any better.

a few years back I was at a wedding, and there was some idiot there with a low back dress, with her lovely ratty bra strap going horizontally across.....and then a month or so later I saw another one, only this one had a white bra with a printed dress, looked even worse...WTF?

even just regular straps on display...hello, it's called a strapless bra, get one- and if they don't make one that holds your tits up, you might want to rethink that top anyway.

yeah, there's cases where it looks really bad. however i think you can show a little strap with style. as with everything in fashion, there are no clear cut rules. and some people can get away with anything and make it look stylish, while others look like morons if they attempt the same thing.

That's interesting. But I don't see how it would provide much support for woman with fuller busts. Some of the styles look like they could hurt your neck.

But I do like the idea! Some of the straps are really cute!

Meh, so long as it's not a thick hideous strap or it's not with an outfit that's meant to fit within a more formal dress code (eg, a dress for a wedding) - or visible straps with a strapless top or dress - who cares? In Australia, when it's summer and it's about a billion degrees outside, you have to wear thin-strapped tops and dresses all the time. I'm only a C, but I'm yet to find a strapless bra that's comfortable, supportive and aesthetically pleasing enough all at once to wear all the time under light summery clothes. However, there's no way I'm going to pointlessly swelter, either.

You just wear a bra with a really thin strap, in a colour that fits with the colours on whatever you're wearing, so that it doesn't jump out as obvious and unsightly. Or you make it work with the outfit. For example, I have a summer dress that's blue and white with little red buttons, so I'll wear a bra with thin red straps and red jewellery - it looks really cool.

I've seen some lovely diamonte (etc) bra straps on ebay... never got around to getting any yet as I'm not that paranoid about showing them/care about seeing them/etc

I hate when I see 20 year olds wearing a bra in a color like bright pink and their bra straps are hanging out all over, like, "FUCKING LOOK AT ME!!" It's so trailer trash looking! They will wear something like a "wife beater" tank top with their sloppy bleached hair up in a crappy bun, and their bra straps are the first thing you see.

I see this a lot on my university campus.... the chicks look so skanky.

It's like anything, really. There are stylish, good-looking ways to wear something - or tacky gross ways of doing it.

I reckon it's a generational thing, too. I was talking about it with mum not long ago, and she said that when she was my age, no one would even think of having a visible bra strap... but young adults these days are totally blasť about it.

Plenty of women had bra straps showing a generation (20 years) ago. In the US at least and it was tacky even back then.

I think a black bra strap is sexy. Any other colour and I think it looks tacky. But if I saw someone wearing a grey vest top and their bra strap wasn't bang in the middle of the fabric, well I'd think it was quite cool. Only black though, and only if it looks as if it's an accident, not purposefully pulled to the side.
