If it's this horrendous on this model that we know has stick thighs, then imagine it on an average size chick?
Incredibly unflattering.
Not only does the skirt make her hips look wide, the top makes her torso look large. Horrible ugly outfit.
it's the sort of thing that would only look good on a very petite girl with skinny arms and legs, and only if worn with something very fitting on top. then it's the sort of outfit where, sure, the skirt might technically make hips look wider but it's not unflattering because the girl is tiny everywhere else.
the way it's pictured here, it doesn't work because the little jacket is kind of boxy, the skirt is a wee bit too long, and there's too much going on. a puffy statement skirt only works if the rest of the outfit is sleek and fitted.

Bubble skirts hems what have you are always WRONG!
KILLING ME WON'T BRING BACK YOUR GOD DAMNED HONEY!!!!!!!!!!
Come on, let's have lots of drinks.
Very unflattering. It looks like a very matronly, fat grandma dress.
ugly in the 80's.....ugly now
All of God's children are not beautiful. Most of God's children are, in fact, barely presentable.
Bubble skirts can work very well if the rest of the outfit is minimalist.. a fitted, simple top with a bold bubble skirt at the right length might look fabulous on the right girl. If this skirt was shorter and she lost that horrendous jacket it might work well. Dually, if that jacket were paired with a pencil skirt or skinny jeans it would look good.. it's all about the proportions, ladies.![]()
